First One-Day International, Benoni

England Women's new head coach Mark Robinson saw his side beat South Africa Women by seven wickets in the first One-Day International in Benoni in his first full game in charge.

South Africa were bowled out for 196 as Anya Shrubsole took four for 29.

Trisha Chetty top scored with 90 for the home side before England's run chase was interrupted by bad weather.

They were eventually required to chase 150 in 35 overs, and they closed on 150 for three in 28.3 overs to round out a comprehensive win.

Sarah Taylor was unbeaten on 41.

The win puts England 1-0 up in the three-match series and the two ICC Women's Championship points they gain puts them level on 11 points with South Africa in fourth place in the table.

The second match is on 12th February at Centurion.
