Fantasy Cricket Match Predictions: South Africa v Australia 2nd ODI

The 2nd match of the three-match ODI series between South Africa and Australia will be played at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein.

It was a complete performance from South Africa in the opening game of the ODI series on a surface where the ball was not coming on to the bat well. They navigated their way to 297 which was an above par total on the Paarl surface.

In return, the bowlers were right on the money and despite a good partnership between Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne, it was the bowlers who brought them back into the match and choked the Australian lower middle order.

With Janneman Malan, Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma dismissed cheaply, Kyle Verreynne - on debut - played a good hand but fell short of his maiden international half-century by just two runs.

Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller then had a 149-run partnership. Klaasen's 114-ball 123-run knock ensured that South Africa reached a good score. It was an all-round bowling performance with from them with Lungi Ngidi being the pick of the bowlers with three wickets while Anrich Nortje and Tabraiz Shamsi picked up two wickets each.

Australia's leading pacers Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins shared 5 wickets between them while Steven Smith and Marnus Labuschagne were their top scorers. However, both played at a strike rate of 80 and that made things very difficult for the following batsmen.

Australia are likely to bring in Ashton Agar and that will change the complexion of their team. South Africa are tipped to win the series.

Let's have a look at the probable playing XI of both teams:

South Africa - Quinton de Kock (c & wk), Janneman Malan, Temba Bavuma, Kyle Verreyenne, Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, Andile Phehlukwayo, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, Tabraiz Shamsi, Keshav Maharaj

Australia - Aaron Finch (c), David Warner, Steven Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Alex Carey (wk), D'arcy Short, Mitchell Marsh, Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa

Key Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams
