New Zealand v West Indies
2nd ODI, Napier
Match abandoned without a ball bowled
The second One-Day International between New Zealand and the West Indies in Napier - the final such game of 2013 - was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
The West Indies won a thrilling low-scoring opening match by two wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series but the hosts were denied the chance to get on level terms by the bad weather.
Meanwhile, the tourists, having recently seen Darren Bravo return home due to personal reasons, missed an opportunity to build on their lead.
The Queenstown Events Centre hosts the third game in the series on New Year's Day (1st January).
The series then concludes with games in Nelson and Hamilton on 4th and 8th January ahead of a brace of Twenty20 Internationals in Auckland and Wellington.
