Australia will be without their regular openers David Warner and Usman Khawaja for the upcoming Chappell-Hadlee One-Day International series against New Zealand which starts later this month.

Vice-captain and swashbuckling batsman Warner has been rested after he played 29 matches on the trot for the national team while Khawaja will be joining the training squad in United Arab Emirates to prepare for the upcoming four-match Test series against India.

In the place of the duo, the selectors have recalled Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh in the squad for the three-match ODI series against the Black Caps.

Finch, who was recently omitted from the squad is the second leading run-scorer in the ongoing Big Bash League tournament with 354 runs from eight matches and has four fifties, which is the most this season.

Meanwhile, Marsh returns back to the national squad after he injured his finger during the Perth Test against South Africa and scored a decisive fifty in the final league game for the Perth Scorchers to secure a home quarter-final.

Apart from the duo's inclusion, the selectors have retained the rest of the squad including Marcus Stoinis, Peter Handscomb and Billy Stanlake that played in the fourth ODI against Pakistan in Sydney.

The three-match series will be played between 30th January and 5th February in Auckland, Napier and Hamilton.
