India Women have recalled opening batsman Smriti Mandhana for the ICC Women's World Cup tournament to be played in England and Wales.
The 20-year-old's inclusion came after her successful recovery from knee injury that she sustained during her stint with Brisbane Heat in the Women's Big Bash League in January.
Mandhana will take the place of Devika Vaidya in the squad that is currently playing a Women's Quadrangular Series in South Africa. She was also part of the ICC Women's World Cup qualifier squad that emerged victorious in Colombo.
Mandhana has played 23 ODIs for India until now and has scored 701 runs at an average of 30.47 including one century and five fifties.
India will open their World Cup campaign with a clash against the host England Women on 24th June at County Ground in Derby.
