Free State Cricket back on Top
Free State Cricket Union found itself back on top with the best cricket affiliates in South Africa at the recently concluded Cricket South Africa (CSA) Awards.
Free State Cricket Union (FSCU) delegates attended the CSA Awards on the 3rd of August 2019 and were pleased with the outcome. FSCU did well in the 2018/2019 Incentive Scorecard by ending 4th overall, winning the Player Performance Plan (PPP) Incentive area and the award for the Most Improved Affiliate in the country.
Free State Cricket Union Services Manager Mr Chippa Selesho believes commitment and dedication were leading factors in attaining this great honour. “Factors that attributed to this achievement is the overall commitment and dedication that FSCU personnel have; and making use of resources at our disposal optimally.”
Free State Cricket moved from 8th place in the 2017/2018 season to 4th place in the 2018/2019 season. This qualified them to win the Most Improved Affiliate in the country. “As the Amateur Operational department, we would like to extend our word of gratitude to the stewardship of Mr. Rafeek Ismail. His drive of the Incentive Scorecard, his commitment and dedication led us back to the top”, added Selesho.
The Central Region’s VKB Knights franchise also won the CSA Fair Play Award.
