Fresh New Start At Leicestershire - Hoggard
Former Leicestershire captain Matthew Hoggard gives his view on the changes taking place at his old club and he says that they now have the chance to make the best of a "fresh new start".
In comes Wasim Khan as Chief Executive and Andrew McDonald as head coach, and although Hoggard has no doubt Khan will move things forward, he admits that McDonald, in his first job as head coach, is an unknown quantity.
Without a win in first-class cricket since 2012, the club now has an opportunity to start "building from nothing" and it is important for Leicestershire to make Grace Road an attractive place to come and both watch and play the game.
The fixtures for the 2015 season were revealed last week and the Foxes begin their season with LV= County Championship games against Glamorgan (12th April) and Northamptonshire (26th April).
"The first win will be pivotal," Hoggard adds, referencing their long winless streak in the Championship, before revealing that he is hoping to help the club out in any way he can this season.
He also looks back at some of his favourite memories as a Leicestershire player, including lifting the Twenty20 Cup title in 2011.
