Sussex 277-8 (Michael Burgess 58, David Wiese 67, Luke Wright 41; van de Gugten 3-58)
Glamorgan 281-4 (Colin Ingram 95*, Kiran Carlson 59, Aneurin Donald 40)
Result Glamorgan won by 6 wickets
After Glamorgan won the toss and decided to field, the Sussex openers Wells and Wright put on 41 for the first wicket. Wickets fell fairly regularly with no partnership, or individual performance, really taking off until Michael Burgess 58 and David Wiese 67 got together, putting on 120 for the 6th wicket. A cameo 19 from Jofra Archer at the end took Sussex to a respectable 277-8 from their allotted overs. Timm van der Gugten (3-58) was the pick of the Glamorgan bowlers.
In reply, Glamorgan set about the run chase with real purpose, keeping above the run rate required but losing wickets, but then Skipper Colin Ingram 95* and Kiran Carlson 59 came together and put on an unbroken partnership of 98 to bring Glamorgan their first win in the Cup this year.
