Result - Derbyshire beat Northamptonshire by 51 runs
That opening partnership gave Derbyshire the platform to push on to 265-2.
In reply, Northamptonshire were in some trouble at 14-2, however, Ben Duckett 57, Wicket Keeper Adam Rossington 40 and Rory Kleinveldt 37, gave them some hope in the run chase. However, it was not to be and Northamptonshire were eventually all out for 214, after some outstanding pace bowling by Derbyshire’s Duanne Olivier (3-31) and the medium paced Ravi Rampaul (3-36).
