Following one of the most successful seasons in the club’s history, Grantham CC will be entering a 4th team in to the South Lincs and Border League following league victories in the SLBL Premier League and Division 1.

In addition to the league promotion, Grantham Cricket Club were awarded ClubMark status in July 2014 and will be competing in the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League in 2015; a league the club has not competed in since 2004 despite winning the league in 2002.

The club’s thriving junior section has grown considerably over the last few years and the numbers have grown significantly in the past year.  Numbers of junior cricketers now surpass 70 and the aim is to increase that to 120 by the end of 2016.

We are very fortunate to have many qualified coaches at the club and we actively encourage parents to take the “Cricket Activator” course through the ECB and support our coaches running enjoyable and high-quality sessions throughout the year.  The affordable subscription fees we offer ensure that no one is excluded from cricket and we include our club shirt with that fee so everyone can feel part of the team.

Off the field, Grantham have been making significant steps improving their facilities and the quality of community engagement around Grantham town.  Hosting Lincolnshire CCC matches has enticed people to Gorse Lane, where the club entertained over 500 spectators.

Amateur Club, Professional Attitude

This mantra that the club works by sums up everything we do both on and off the pitch.  This means training under the supervision of club coach, Mark Fell, on Wednesday evenings from February onwards and fielding 7 teams weekly to provide cricket for cricketers of any level.

In the junior section of the club we have a group of qualified and enthusiastic coaches who teach small groups of boys and girls and help them achieve success in all of their fun and engaging activities.

Off the field we are looking to engage with high quality local businesses to for strong and high-value partnerships to increase revenue for the club and sustain an affordable environment in which the club can thrive and provide social and competitive cricket to all that want it.

If you are interested in playing or social membership, sponsorship or anything else to do with Grantham Cricket Club then please get in touch with our club secretary.
