PCB Patron's XI 241-5 (Iftikhar 63) v West Indies
Tour match, Sharjah, day one

Iftikhar Ahmed led from the front with a confident 63 while Shan Masood and Ahmed Shehzad supported with half centuries of their own following which Devendra Bishoo's three-wicket haul restricted Pakistan Cricket Board Patron's XI to 241 for five at stumps on day one of the tour game in Sharjah.

The start was not an auspicious one for the PCB XI as Mohammad Hafeez (0) was dismissed by Miguel Cummins (1-36) early in the innings.

However, Masood (58) and Shehzad (52) provided stability with their 101-run stand. The pair scored seven boundaries and three sixes between them.

The partnership eventually ended after both the batsmen crossed the 50-run mark. Shehzad was deceived by Bishoo (3-77) while Masood was run out leaving Pakistan 143 for three.

Iftikhar (63) took over from where the duo left and with support from Fawad Alam (32) and Adnan Akmal (26 not out), the PCB Patron's XI managed to finish the day at 241 for five in 90 overs at stumps on day one.

Bishoo was the standout bowler for West Indies with a three-wicket haul while Cummins was the other wicket-taker.
