Hampshire bowlers reduce Warwickshire to 49 for six after posting 515 runs

Hampshire came up with a dominating bowling display to reduce Warwickshire for 49 for six at stumps on day two of the County Championship Division One clash in Southampton.

Earlier, the home side went on amass 515 runs in their first innings riding on massive knocks from Sean Ervine and Jimmy Adams as they have a 466 run lead heading into day three.

Hamoshire started the second day with a score of 294 for three. Ervine (203), who remained unbeaten on 160 went on to complete a double century while Adams (166) also went past thee 150-run mark.

The duo added a massive 367 runs to take the score close to 400. Ian Holland (32) and Lewis McManus (38) ensured Hampshire posted 515 before they were dismissed. Sukhjit Singh (6-144) picked a six-wicket haul in the batting dominated innings.

Warwickshire top order found it tough to deal with the bowling of Hampshire as Matt Salisbury (2-13), Mason Crane (2-6) and Holland (1-4) were among the wickets to reduce the visitors to 49 for six with Rikki Clarke (20) top scoring for them.
