Kyle Abbott led the Hampshire bowling attack with a four-wicket haul as they dismissed Warwickshire for 167 runs in the final innings to register a victory by an innings and 94 runs in the County Championship Division One encounter on the final day in Southampton.
Warwickshire started the day at 75 for two. Ian Bell (68) crossed his fifty but he fell soon after that along with Jonathan Trott (23) as they were reeling at 114 for four.
From there on, Warwickshire hardly recovered with only Keith Barker (67 not out) showing some resilience. They were bowled out for 167 runs in 64.4 overs as Hampshire completed a massive victory.
Abbott (4-32) was the pick of the Hampshire bowlers with a four-wicket haul while Gareth Berg (2-42), Mason Crane (2-50) and Sean Evine (1-2) shared the remaining six wickets equally.
The win has taken Hampshire to the top of the Division One table with 82 points from six games while Warwickshire, who are yet to win a game this season are languishing at the bottom.
