Hampshire win thriller by 2 wickets in last over against Sussex

Fidel Edwards took 2 wickets for Hampshire in their win over Sussex

Having won the toss and decided to bat Sussex, with Luke Wright 56 and  Harry Finch 108 both batting well,  looked set for a big score in front of a home crowd, at The 1st Central County Ground, Hove.

Sussex 250 (Luke Wright 56, Harry Finch 108)

Hampshire253 - 8 (Hashim Amla 63, Gareth Berg 65, Lewis McManus 41)

Result  - Hampshire won by 2 wickets

However, it was not to be and some tight bowling by Hampshire, particularly from Gareth Berg 3-51, Reece Topley 2-47 and Fidel Edwards 2-56 kept Sussex to 250 all out.

Some great bowling from Ollie Robinson for Sussex gave Hampshire a troubled start, however, Hashim Amla 63, Gareth Berg 65 and Lewis McManus 41 kept the score ticking over and Mason Crane 21* and Reece Topley held their nerve at the end to bring Hampshire home in a nailbiting finish.
