Hard done by rain, Toronto Nationals stand eliminated as Winnipeg Hawks move to Qualifier 2
The Hawks were at 201-5 in the 18th over and were just two runs ahead of the DLS par score when the umpires decided that it was too dark for play to continue and the Hawks were awarded the win. Understandably so, the Toronto Nationals camp looked absolutely aghast at the decision, but such is the nature of the game.

After Toronto Nationals' opener Chirag Suri was dismissed in the fourth over, there was a 137-run partnership for the second wicket between Rodrigo Thomas and Heinrich Klaasen, which took the Nationals to 238 from their 20 overs.
While Thomas looked as good as he has in the tournament with a 41-ball 73, it was the century from Heinrich Klaasen which really took the Nationals score well beyond par. Klassen batted magnificently to remain unbeaten on 106 from just 49 deliveries.
Mohammad Irfan and Kaleem Sana were the leading bowlers for Winnipeg Hawks and took two wickets each.
A day that had (almost) everything!

Winnipeg Hawks were struggling at 49-3 at one point, but good hands from JP Duminy, Sunny Sohal and Riyad Emrit steadied them. The Hawks were at 201 for 5 in the 18th over and were just two runs ahead of the DLS par score when the umpires decided that it was too dark for play to continue and the Hawks were awarded the win.
Understandably so, the Toronto Nationals camp looked absolutely aghast at the decision, but such is the nature of the game. Winnipeg Hawks will now face Brampton Wolves in Qualifier 2.

Cricket World Player of the Week - Sanju Samson
It is not often that the Player of the Match award goes to a member of the losing team, but such was the impact of Sanju Samson's 63-ball 119 on captaincy debut that the Rajasthan Royals skipper deserves all the accolades.
