Benny Howell picked a four-wicket haul to restrict Kent to 152 for eight in the 20 overs following which a collective effort from Gloucestershire saw them chase down the target in 19.1 overs with six wickets in hand in the Natwest T20 Blast South Group clash in Cheltenham.

Joe Denly (39) and Daniel Bell-Drummond (16) provided a solid opening stand of 45 runs in five overs. Denly was the aggressor among the two scoring his runs at a strike rate of 162 but a double strike from Howell (4-29) pegged Kent back.

A 25-ball knock from Sam Billings (36) along with cameos from Darren Stevens (19) and Adam Milne (17 not out) helped them recover and post 152 for eight in the 20 overs.

Michael Klinger (13) struggled to get going but fell in the sixth over with score reading 35 for one. Knocks from Phil Mustard (32) and Ian Cockbain (31) put them on course of victory which was completed in 19.1 overs with handy contributions from Cameron Bancroft (34) and Howell (22).
