The International Cricket Council (ICC) has fined Sri Lankan pair Tillakaratne Dilshan and Thisara Perera for Level 1 breaches of the ICC Code of Conduct during the first One-Day International against England.

Dilshan was reprimanded and fined 25 per cent of his match fee for excessive appealing during Sri Lanka's 25-run win in Colombo.

Perera, meanwhile, was reprimanded and fined 20 per cent for a non-specified breach under Article 2.1.8 of the code which relates to conduct contrary to the spirit of the game or bringing the game into disrepute.

On-field umpires Simon Fry and Ruchira Palliyaguruge levelled the charges against the two players along with third umpire Steve Davis and fourth umpire Raveendra Wimalasiri.

Both players admitted the charges and accepted the charges laid down by match referee David Boon.
