ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022: 5 Batters to look out for

The much-anticipated ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 begins on 16th October 2022 when Sri Lanka take on Namibia, who are fresh from a memorable performance at last year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

The Tournament will be played over 45 T20Is between October 16^th - November 13^th, with the final scheduled at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Australia won last year's showpiece event and entered this year’s tournament as one of the favourites, at 11/8 to reach the Final. Playing at home will also give them an edge.

The hosts are expected to receive tough competition though from Pakistan, India, England  and South Africa.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa continued on his good form in the Asia Cup 2022 as well where he amassed 191 runs at an average of 47.75 and a strike rate of 149.22. Bhanuka Rajapaksa is a big match player and he proved the point with his 71 run knock against Pakistan in the Final of Asia Cup 2022. He played an instrumental role in Sri Lanka's triumph at the Asia Cup.

He bats in the top order and scores his runs at an incredible pace. Rajapaksa doesn't let the momentum go away and starts striking the ball early on in his innings. He stamped his authority on his comeback against Australia where he smashed 68 in just 32 balls. He will undergo a great game time against Australia before the World Cup begins. It will only help him further to get in shape before the big tournament and find the sweet spot on his bat.

Jos Buttler can change the course of the match in any situation. If he finds form before the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, the opposition teams will be seen biting their nails.
