Weather once again played spoilsport at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Friday.
The second Group 1 game at the MCG between host Australia and England was abandoned without a ball being bowled. The rains had eased up, but the outfield was not fit enough for the ground to stage a contest.
Finally around 8.48 pm Melbourne time the match was called off. Both England and Australia had to settle for a point each.
