The ICC Women's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier 2021 will be held in Botswana from Thursday, September 9.

11 teams - Botswana, Rwanda, Cameroon, Eswatini, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe - will take part in the competition. Group A has 6 sides, while 5 teams comprise Group B.

All the matches will be played at Botswana Cricket Association Oval 1, Gaborone and Botswana Cricket Association Oval 2, Gaborone.

While all the teams will try their best, Namibia, Nigeria and Zimbabwe have a real chance of winning the competition. Zimbabwe, in particular, start as favourites.

Botswana, Cameroon and Eswatini are making their debuts in an ICC event. The team winning this competition will qualify for the ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament in 2022.

Four matches will be played on the first day, with the competition beginning with the clash between Rwanda and Mozambique.
