Australia A suffered a six-wicket defeat in the second four-day match against India A at Alur, with the series ending level at 1-1.

Australia A 346 all out (Mitch Marsh 113*, Kuldeep Yadav 5-91) and 213 (Peter Handscomb 56; Kuldeep Yadav 3-46, Krishnappa Gowtham 3-39)

India A 505 – (Abhimanyu Easwaran 86 , Samarth 83, Srikar Bharat 106, Kuldeep Yadav 52; Chris Tremain 3-41, Ashton Agar 3-87) and 55-4

Result - India A won by 6 wickets

Resuming at 38-2, trailing by 121 runs, the tourists almost managed to bat through the day, before being dismissed for 213 with eight overs to play and with a lead of 54 runs.

India A then completed a quick-fire chase, reaching their total four wickets down in 6.2 overs.

In Australia A’s batting innings, Peter Handscomb (56 off 153) and Travis Head (47 off 129) fought hard, as did captain Mitch Marsh (36 off 79) and Michael Neser (17 off 112).

Spinners Kuldeep Yadav (3-46), Krishnappa Gowtham (3-39) and Shahbaz Nadeem (2-67) shared eight wickets for India A.

Chris Tremain and Michael Neser picked up two wickets each in India A’s short reply, with Ankit Bawne (28 not out) guiding the hosts to victory.
