India A prevail over Windies A without breaking a sweat

Rishabh Pant (18) came out to hit a couple of boundaries

India A (222-3) bagged a comfortable victory against Windies A (221-10) by 7 wickets on the back of Mayank Agarwal's (112) century and Deepak Chahar's (10-27-5) fifer.

Windies A won the toss and decided to bat first. The team got off to an awful start with opener Blackwood (0) being dismissed off the second ball of the innings. Chandrapal Hemraj then scored a steady 45 but was run out by Shubman Gill.

Captain Jason Mohammed (31) was thereafter dismissed by Vijay Shankar (4-21-1). In the middle and lower order, no other batsman could hold his end other than DC Thomas (64) as the entire team bundled out for 221 without even being able to play out the entire 50 overs.

Deepak Chahar wreaked havoc with a fifer, bowling at an exceptional economy of 2.70.

Chasing a modest target, India A looked comfortable all along as Prithvi Shaw scored a quick 27 to ease out the nerves. It was then all about Mayank Agarwal (112) and Shubman Gill (58*) who paced their innings beautifully.

Rishabh Pant (18) came out to hit a couple of boundaries and take India home in the 39th over. India A won the match by 7 wickets and have now lost one and won one out of their two matches of the tri-series.
