Hong Kong won the toss and decided to bowl at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai against India earlier today.

India 285 - 7 (Shikhar Dhawan 127, Ambati Rayudu 60; Kinchit Shah 3-39)

Hong Kong 259-8  (Anshy Rath 73, Nizakat Khan 92; Khaleel Ahmed 3-48,Yuzvendra Chahal 3-46 )

Result – India won by 26 runs

Batting first, India scored a modest 285-7 ,in their allotted 50 overs, with Shikhar Dhawan top scoring with 127. Supported by Ambati Rayudu 60, the pair put on 116 for the second wicket. Dinesh Karthik and Kedar Jadhav kept the score ticking and Hong Kong would have been very happy to keep India from scoring over 300+. The pick of the Hong Kong bowlers was Kinchit Shah 3-39.

In reply, Hong Kong certainly rattled India with an opening partnership of 174 in 34 overs, Anshy Rath 73 and Nizakat Khan 92 in commanding form. However, once these two were out the run chase was increasingly behind the clock and India eventually ran out winners by 26 runs – a narrow escape for India! Khaleel Ahmed 3-48 and Yuzvendra Chahal 3-46 were the pick of the India bowlers.

India now take on Pakistan tomorrow in their next Asia Cup match.
