Sri Lanka Women 89-9 (Lokusuriyage 25no) by nine wickets
Third Twenty20 International in Ranchi

Led by impressive bowling spells from Anuja Patil and Ekta Bisht, India Women restricted Sri Lanka Women to 89 for nine in 20 overs following which a run-a-ball knock of 43 runs from Smriti Mandhana helped seal a nine-wicket win which completed a 3-0 clean sweep in the series.

Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first but lost two quick wickets before a 33-run stand between Chamari Atapattu (21) and Nipuni Hansika (13) rebuilt the innings.

However, led by Patil (2-19) and Bisht (3-17), the Indian bowling attack rattled Sri Lanka and restricted them to 89 for nine in 20 overs.

Eshani Lokusuriyage’s (25 not out) unbeaten 22-ball knock of 25 was the saving grace toward the end for Sri Lanka. Patil and Bisht shared five wickets between them.

India were hardly troubled in the chase as the openers Vellaswamy Vanitha (34) and Mandhana (43 not out) added 64 runs in 8.4 overs.

After the fall of Vanitha, Veda Krishnamurthy (13 not out) joined hands with Mandhana to take India past the winning line with 37 balls left in the game and sealed a 3-0 series victory.

Atapattu (1-19) was the only wicket-taker for Sri Lanka. Mandhana picked up the player of the match award.
