India used the second and final day of their tour game against Cricket Australia XI to allow their batsmen time in the middle as well as their bowlers a late run out before the game was drawn in Adelaide.

Replying to the Cricket Australia XI's 243 all out, India resumed on 99 for two and were bowled out fr 375 in 90 overs.

Virat Kohli made 66, Murali Vijay 60 and Ajinkya Rahane 56 and all three batsmen retired.

Wriddhiman Saha made 51 and Rohit Sharma 48.

Put in to bat again, the CA XI closed on 83 for five as Ishant Sharma picked up two for eight in five overs.

Varun Aaron took four wickets and Karn Sharma three on the opening day to dismiss the CA XI.

This match was arranged to give India extra preparation ahead of the Test series, which has been pushed back following the death of Phil Hughes.

The first Test, now being held at the Adelaide Oval, begins on 9th December.
