Kuldeep Yadav tossed up delivery to Shimron Hetmyer, out Caught by Rahul! Hetmyer gets too eager on the slog and ends up mistiming it towards wide long-on. Rahul, gets across to his left to take a jogging catch and starts celebrating with a fist pump.
If you had to pick out a player to be West Indies hope in this one, you'd have to say he's just been dismissed. Shimron Hetmyer caught on 41, just short of a half century.
West Indies 60/3 (7 Over)
Shimron Hetmyer 26, KA Pollard 16
WI requires 181 runs in 78 balls (Target: 241 in 20 Overs)
West Indies 33/3 (5 Over)
Shimron Hetmyer 15, KA Pollard 1
WI requires 208 runs in 90 balls (Target: 241 in 20 Overs)
Deepak Chahar bowls a good length delivery to Nicholas Pooran, out Caught by Shivam Dube! Pooran made room for the cut but was probably hustled by the extra pace on this one, ended up getting a thickish edge that seemed to be dying on Dube initially.
That's right, another wicket with the following ball. West Indies aren't looking good here, which is even more noticeable by the fact how impressive India have been.
Mohammed Shami bowls a good length delivery to LMP Simmons, out Caught by Shreyas Iyer!! Simmons was never looking comfortable and falls in the bid to up the rate. Makes room for the slog and only gets a thick slice over backward point.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Brandon King He is Caught
India draw blood early and remove Brandon King, this already looks like it will be a mountain to big to climb for West Indies.
West Indies 7/0 (1 Over)
LMP Simmons 2, Brandon King 5
WI requires 234 runs in 114 balls (Target: 241 in 20 Overs)
CLOSE OF INNINGS
India finish on 240 after an incredible 135-run partnership for Rohit Sharma and Lokesh Rahul giving them a big chance of winning this one.
We would need something special from West Indies here - very special.
Sheldon Cottrell to Lokesh Rahul He is Caught
A sensational innings for Lokesh Rahul, but so close to a couple of records there which might leave a slight bitter taste in his mouth.
You can't take anything away from it though, it's quite possibly won India this T20I already.
India 231/2 (19 Overs)
Lokesh Rahul 91, Virat Kohli 63
1 over left for Lokesh Rahul to either become the 56th player to score a century in a T20I or be only the 2nd ever player, joining Chris Gayle, to carry his bat in a T20I.
??INJURY UPDATE?? Evin Lewis is receiving treatment by WI Medical Staff on his right knee. He will not return to the field during India's batting innings. Another update will come at half time break. #INDvWI pic.twitter.com/ZHWcpwpboJ— Windies Cricket (@windiescricket) December 11, 2019
India 176/2 (16 Overs)
Lokesh Rahul 76, Virat Kohli 25
India 158/2 (14.2 Overs)
Lokesh Rahul 75, Virat Kohli 8
KA Pollard to Rishabh Pant He is Caught
Commentator's curse again with that one, instantly Rishabh Pant is removed. Perhaps a crack in India and West Indies will want to get some quick wickets here.
"This is a good opportunity for Rishabh Pant at no.3 because he doesn't have to think whether to hit or not, just which ball to hit. #IndvWI"
Chetan Narula, Cricket World
Kesrick Williams to Rohit Sharma He is Caught
It's happened, Rohit Sharma is the first to fall. Lokesh Rahul still has hope at joining Chris Gayle on the list of T20I openers to carry their bat. Commentators curse on that one.
Rohit Sharma's current strike rate is 218.75 and Lokesh Rahul's 176.47.
Currently neither look like being dismissed which could mean we don't only look at them beating their previous high scores of 118 and 110, respectively.
But joining the ranks of Chris Gayle, as the only ever T20I opener to carry his bat - could it be done?
Even more unlikely, could we see both openers? We could witness history here today.
India 81/0 (7 Overs)
Rohit Sharma 38, Lokesh Rahul 43
India look to be running with this one, Sharma and Rahul giving India a commanding start.
Do you think they have what it takes to see it out?
