India Women finished their series of matches against South Africa Women with a 16-run win in a Twenty20 International in Bangalore.

Smrit Mandhana hit a half-century as India posted 146 for five and Poonam Yadav took three wickets as South Africa were restricted to 130 for nine in reply.

Mandhana struck 52 in 42 balls, Mithali Raj 40 in 31 and Shikha Pandey 23 in 18 for India as they made light of being reduced to 69 for three to finish on an excellent score.

Sunette Loubser returned two for 29, Ayabonga Khaka one for 29, Marizanne Kapp one for 36 and Matshipi Letsoalo one for 19.

Dane van Niekerk led South Africa's run chase with 46 in 47 balls but found little support until Kapp hit 33 in 16 balls.

Van Niekerk fell in the 15th over and Kapp in the 18th and with them went South Africa's challenge as Yadav dismissed Lizelle Lee (19), Mignon du Preez (0) and Letsaolo (1) to peg the tourists back.

She returned three for 18, Ekta Bisht returned two for 20 and Harmanpreet Kaur ended with one for 24.
