Mansi Joshi led from the front with figures of four for three as India Women dismissed Thailand Women for 55 runs and chased down the target with ease in 13 overs with nine wickets in hand in Group A encounter of ICC Women's World Cup Qualifier in Colombo.
Thailand won the toss and elected to bat first. Nattaya Boochatham (10) and Chandia Sutthiruang (12) were the only players to cross the double figure mark as they were bowled out for 55 runs in the 30th over.
Joshi (3-4), Deepti Sharma (2-8), Poonam Yadav (2-10) and Rajeshwari Gayakwad (2-18) were the main wicket-takers for India.
Sornnnarin Tippoch (1-16) provided some joy to Thailand when she had Harmanpreet Kaur (15) caught in the 10th over but Tirush Kamini (24 not out) and Veda Krishnamurthy (17 not out) ensured India reached the target with nine wickets in hand.
With two wins from two games, India occupy the pole position in Group A while Joshi was awarded player of the match.
