India's performance in international cricket has been nothing short of remarkable over the past decade. From winning the World Cup in 2011 to becoming the top-ranked Test side in 2019, India has consistently been one of the most successful teams in world cricket. This success has had a profound impact on international cricket, both on and off the field.

Not only have India's achievements made them a force to be reckoned with on the pitch, but they have also inspired other nations to strive for excellence and helped popularize cricket worldwide. India's successes have truly been an inspiration for many aspiring cricketers around the world, and their impact will be felt for years to come.

The year has been hard

There are three formats of cricket - One Day Internationals, Twenty-20 and Test cricket. The India cricket team this season has impressed even their most critical critics. An impressive run sees them leading the ICC League rankings during a gruelling cricket campaign with the end stretch will see the other teams bringing their A-games to the fields. However, Broadcast action from around the world has made cricket live line to enjoy as well as make a wager. With upcoming tournaments such as the IPL, there is an endless supply of action to expect.

In all but one category the team has shown great achievements and performances. That said, they lag by just a few points with Test cricket and spectators are watching and hoping to see the team make a clean sweep in the ICC rankings in all three categories.

ODI cricket

Based on the  ICC rankings, the India team commands an impressive lead on the ODI international rankings. The team has been able to put in an impressive performance, in part thanks to performances by three of their top players Ravichandran Ashwin, Jasprit Bueah and Ravindra Jadeja. The bowling and all-rounder combinations have been instrumental in securing vital wins for India during this season’s campaign.

This could be a great confidence boost for the team as they are scheduled to participate in both the Asian Cup and the ICC World Cup which are both to be played in the ODI format.

Hoping for T20I glory

Yet again the India Cricket team have taken the top spot in the ICC T20i rankings. With two of the three formats being dominated by the team, critics have no choice but to give credit where credit is due.

Hot on their heels are the Australian and New Zealand teams who this past season have shown some initiative in changing their fate. These teams have their eyes set on closing the season on the number one spot. The Indian team have played most of their T20 matches, while the rest of the teams catch up to the matches played. Hoping the team has left a sufficient margin in points to keep them in the top spot.

Test Cricket

Critics have come forward and wondered as to whether the India team have lost the flare of their best batsmen throughout the year. Though their performance has not been overly disappointing, their second spot ICC ranking on Test cricket may just be a testimony to the speculations.

As the international cricket season ebbs down around April, the teams look at making a difference as they currently stand first in the other two cricketing formats. With big tournaments opening up the new season towards the end of the year, India looks to make their fans proud and relive old successes.

As with all seasons, the toll has not been without its casualties as sports injuries have impacted the India team’s gaming strategies. The team hopes to make use of the break for recovery as the teams all look to tackle the tournaments awaiting them towards the end of the year.
