Sri Lankan fast bowler Nuwan Pradeep has sustained a hamstring strain and is currently a doubtful starter for the second Test match against Australia which will be played in Galle.

According to a report on ESPNcricinfo, Pradeep sustained the injury while training on Monday and is expected to undergo a fitness test on Wednesday which will determine his participation.

If Pradeep is ruled out of the Galle Test, one of the two uncapped fast bowlers, Vishwa Fernando and Asitha Fernando, will be in line for a debut.

The pitch in Galle is also expected to support the spinners, which points to Sri Lanka retaining their three-man spin attack which they fielded in Pallekele.

The second Test match in Galle will get underway on 4th August with Sri Lanka currently having a 1-0 lead after the 106-run win in the first game in Pallekele.
