Delhi Capitals registered a 46 run win over Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday night.

Asked to bat, Delhi Capitals posted 184 for eight in their 20 overs. They were struggling for a bit, but the innings was revived by Marcus Stoinis (49: 30b, 4x6) and Shimron Hetmyer (45: 24b, 1x4, 5x6). Earlier captain Shreyas Iyer (22) and Prithvi Shaw (19) tried to hold the innings together. It was an excellent bowling display by Rajasthan Royals. The best bowler for Rajasthan as always was Jofra Archer (3-24).

In the chase, Rajasthan lost wickets at regular intervals. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (34: 36b, 1x4, 2x6) carried the innings for a while. Captain Steve Smith tried to dig the side out of a hole with a 17-ball 24. But thereafter there was a collapse. Towards the end Rahul Tewatia (38: 29b, 3x4, 2x6) tried hitting some lusty blows. In the end, Rajasthan were bowled for 138 in 19.4 overs. For Delhi the best bowlers were Kagiso Rabada (3-35) and Marcus Stoinis (2-17).
