IPL 2020: Young guns lead Sunrisers to win over Chennai
Sunrisers Hyderabad's young guns starred in their side's seven run win over Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League at the Dubai International Stadium on Friday night.
After opting to bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad posted 164 for five in their 20 overs. Captain David Warner (28) and Manish Pandey (29) added 46 runs for the second wicket to revive the innings. Then Kane Williamson was cruelly run-out leaving Sunrisers struggling at 69 for four. Thereafter new boys Priyam Garg (51 n.o,: 26b, 6x4, 1x6) added 77 runs for the fifth wicket with Abhishek Sharma (31: 24b, 4x4, 1x6). Hyderabad finished on a high. for Chennai the best bowler was Deepak Chahar (2-31).
In their chase, Chennai lost wickets at regular intervals. Faf du Plessis playing as an opener made 22. Thereafter, it required 72 run stand for the fifth wicket between Ravindra Jadeja (50: 35b, 5x4, 2x6) and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (47: 36B, 4X4, 1X6) to revive the chase. In the end Chennai finished at 157 for five in their 20 overs.
Bhuvaneshwar Kumar could not finish the game as he pulled his muscle. For Hyderabad the most successful bowler was T Natarajan (2-43).
