Bangladesh and Ireland are touring England to participate in a 3 match ODI series series starting on the 9th of May.

A one day match between Bangladesh and Ireland A will be played ahead of the ODI series.

The ODI series will be a part of the 2020-2023 ICC World Cup Super League and it will also determine whether Ireland will be able to feature in the mega tournament to be held in October this year in India. Ireland will have to win all of the 3 matches in order to qualify for the upcoming 50 overs World Cup.

Cricket Ireland was due to host Bangladesh cricket team for an ODI series but it was recently announced that Chelmsford, England will host both the sides for a bilateral event.

All of the matches will be played at the County Cricket Ground, Chelmsford, England.

Bangladesh will be led by Tamim Iqbal. Players like Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahman are also participating in the 3 match series. Bangladesh are fielding a very strong side for the contest. Ireland on the other hand have called up their Ace bowler Josh Little for the ODI series. Little is currently playing foe Gujarat Titans in the ongoing Indian Premier League. Ireland are also high on confidence considering the form they were in at the recently concluded ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
