Ireland's captain Laura Delany speaks ahead of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023

Ireland Women face Australia tomorrow in their last warm-up ahead of the start of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and captain Laura Delany is pleased with preparations ahead of the tournament. All Ireland games can be watched in Ireland / UK on Sky Sports.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 will mark the eighth edition of the competition with 10 teams battling for the title between 10th – 26th February.

This is the first time that South Africa will be hosting the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. The tournament will be played at three venues across South Africa – Newlands Cricket Ground (Cape Town), St George's Park Cricket Ground (Gqeberha), and Boland Park (Paarl).

Nine of the 10 nations that participated in the last edition of the tournament retain their qualification. Thailand have been replaced by Ireland, who emerged as the runners-up behind Bangladesh in the Qualifier’s stage of this tournament in 2022.
