Ruby Trichy Warriors batted first and had an amazing start with their first wicket falling in the 13th over. They had an opening stand of 106 and the stage was set for the batsmen to blast in the last few overs.
However, Chandrasekar Ganapathy got stuck in the middle and managed only 9 runs from 17 deliveries. Although Mani Bharathi smoked 18 off just four balls, the Warriors reached only 178, which was a good score on the surface but the team could have done with 15-20 extra runs more, given the start they had got.
Murali Vijay was sensational for them but was unfortunate to be dismissed just one short of a century in the last over. Jagannathan Kaushik picked up two wickets for the Dragons.
A SUPER catch to end a SUPER innings!
