The International Cricket Council has approved Japanese sports manufacturer SSK as an approved cricket clothing manufacturer.

SSK, with over 60 years of experience in manufacturing baseball clothing, is the first company to manufacture cricket clothing in Japan.

Since 2011, they have provided clothing for Japan's men's and women's international teams.

"I am extremely delighted that we have being approved as a clothing manufacturer of cricket, a sport that is said to be the initial model of baseball," company president Kyoichi Sasaki said.

"As an approved clothing manufacturer we hope to contribute to the development of cricket though furthering the success of our brand," he added.
