Jersey stand alone at the top of the European Championship Division One table after their third straight win and an upset win for Italy over Scotland A in the third round of fixtures.

Jersey maintained their winning run by beating Netherlands A by 77 runs. Captain Peter Gough top scored with 57 and Christopher Jones made 36 to guide the home side to a score of 236 for eight, which they defended by dismissing the Dutch for 159 in 46.3 overs. Ryan Driver led the way with the ball, taking four for 26 while Jones and Tom Minty took a pair of wickets apiece.

Half-centuries from Andy Northcote (72) and DCKM Fernando (62) set up Italy's seven-run Duckworth/Lewis method win over Scotland A. Their 134-run stand for the second wicket set Italy on course to make 249 for seven despite Sean Weeraratne's three wickets. Scotland then reached 239 for nine when play was halted after 47 overs, leaving them seven short having been set a revised target of 244. Ewen Chalmers top scored with 57 and there were three wickets for Munasinghe. The win was Italy's first of the tournament and their first against any Scotland team.

Ireland A thrashed Denmark by 138 runs on the Duckworth/Lewis method as the Danes' miserable run continued. James Shannon (84), N McDonnell (60) and Reinhardt Strydom (46) scored heavily as Ireland racked up 334 for six from their 50 overs. In reply, Denmark were bowled out for 184, with captain Michael Pedersen playing a lone hand. Albert van der Merwe returned four for 44 and Andrew Balbirnie three for 31 after Denmark were set 323 to win in 47 overs.

On day three of Division Two, France beat Israel by 65 runs, Norway overcame Gibraltar by three wickets and Guernsey brushed aside Germany by eight wickets.
