Jess Cameron to take indefinite break from cricket
Cricket Australia have confirmed that Jess Cameron is to take an indefinite break from cricket and will not be available for international selection until further notice.
The top-order player, who has represented her country in three Tests, 50 One-Day Internatioanals and 64 Twenty20 Internationals, will play the rest of the Women's National Cricket League before taking a break.
She will miss the inaugural Women's Big Bash League this winter as well as upcoming international engagements.
"Cricket Australia (CA) today advised that Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars player Jess Cameron will take an indefinite break from domestic and international cricket," a statement read.
"Cameron will not be available for the Perth Scorchers in the inaugural Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) and is unavailable for selection for the national team until further notice."
Australia host India and head to New Zealand before defending their ICC Women's World T20 crown in India early next year.
She has scored 1,265 ODI runs at 37.20 with nine half-centuries and her T20 record is a good one, having scored 941 runs at a strike rate of 107.54.
