Johann Myburgh pens new deal with Somerset
Somerset have confirmed that Johann Myburgh has penned a new one-year limited overs contract with the English county club.
The 36-year-old has made over 100 appearances in the first-class and List A games and has been part of 76 Twenty20 games as well in which he has scored over 11,000 runs combined.
Myburgh has played three Royal London One-Day matches last season in which he scored 120 runs and was also part of nine Natwest T20 Blast 2017 games where he amassed 290 runs at an average of 36.25.
Myburgh said he is keen to contribute to Somerset's success in the upcoming season.
"I'm very pleased and I feel blessed that I'm going to play for Somerset for another year.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I've had great support from the fans.
"I'm keen to contribute to the team again and I'm desperate to win a trophy.
"I think we're good enough to do that because we have a really talented group of players in the dressing room."
