Jomel Warrican makes comeback into West Indies Test squad

The West Indies selectors have called up left-arm orthodox spinner Jomel Warrican to the Test squad to face Pakistan in the three-match series in the United Arab Emirates.

Warrican last played for West Indies against Australia in Sydney in January this year and so far, he has played four Test matches while picking up 11 wickets.

Among the 15 members of the Test squad picked for the series, West Indies have picked two frontline spinners including Warrican and Devendra Bishoo.

Jason Holder will lead the side which also has Carlos Brathwaite and Roston Chase as all-rounders while Alzarri Joseph, Shanon Gabriel and Miguel Cummins will be the fast bowlers.

Leading the batting line-up will be the likes of Marlon Samuels and vice-captain Kraigg Brathwaite along with Jermaine Blackwood, Darren Bravo, Leon Johnson, Shane Dowrich and Shai Hope.

The three-match Test series will get underway with the first match on 13th October in Dubai, which will be a day-night fixture – the first for both the teams.

The second and third games will be played between 21st October and 3rd November in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah respectively.
