Kent won by 28 runs in a rain affected D/L result against Somerset in the One Day Cup, at Canterbury this evening.

Kent won the toss and decided to field at the Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, Canterbury this afternoon against Somerset.

Somerset  221 - 9 (Lewis Gregory 60, Matt Renshaw 56)

Kent  88 - 1

Result Kent won by 28 runs (DLS Method) (D/L)

Somerset struggled to get going and only managed to get to 221-9 in their allotted 42 overs , largely due to some great bowling by the Kent attack.Lewis Gregory hit 60, Matt Renshaw 56 and Ben Green 26* on debut batted well.Matt Henry 3-37 was the pick of the Kent bowlers.

In reply, Daniel Bell Drummond was out for 0 in the first over and Joe Denly 44* and Heino Kuhn 36* made sure Kent were well placed for D/L by scoring quickly, should the rain return, and it did, and Kent won by 28 runs D/L.
