Kevin Pietersen Hosting Urban Coaching Clinic In Durham

England batsman Kevin Pietersen is set to host an Urban Cricket coaching clinic in Durham with Bowburn Junior School on Thursday 14th June, from 3pm. Pietersen, recovered from his blow to the head which saw him dismissed hit wicket, will coach children at the school as part of his role fronting Urban Cricket. Urban Cricket npower, in association with the ECB, launched a major consumer cricket promotion in 2006 - Urban Cricket - fronted by England cricket Kevin Pietersen, with the aim of putting 60,000 cricket kits into the hands of youngsters aged 8 - 15 years across the UK. The principle behind Urban Cricket is simple - the chance to play the game anytime, anywhere. The free kits comprise a plastic bat and tennis ball with tape in an easy to carry case - no rules, no pitch, no teams, just you and your mates. The focus for 2007 will be the development of Urban Cricket arenas in London, Cardiff, Newcastle, and Birmingham Further information is available at
