Kevin Pietersen talks IPL : There is nothing like it in the Sport
Check out this video where former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen talks everything IPL, from a young Virat Kohli to what it means to play in the greatest T20 tournament in the world.
As you probably are aware, Kevin Pietersen was made the highest-paid player in IPL history, in 2009, when he was bought for £1.1m by Royal Challengers Bangalore – and a few years later he was breaking records for Surrey CCC as well, as he cracked the highest individual score by a Surrey batsman since 1899, on his way to a breathtaking triple hundred. Pietersen blazed his way to an incredible unbeaten 373-ball 326 laced with as many as 34 boundaries and 14 sixes as he tore into a clueless Leicestershire bowling attack.Riding on Pietersen’s vintage innings, which is currently the third highest individual score ever by a Surrey batsman, his side managed to consolidate their first-innings lead to a mammoth 236 runs with one wicket in hand.
Pietersen eventually retired from the sport in 2017 and is now a commentator with many years experience; reflecting on the highs and lows of his career, he firmly believes the IPL to have been one of his favourite tournaments.
The latest IPL betting to win this year’s tournament is firmly with the old favourites Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings and with the latest change in the schedule, following the Corona Virus pandemic, the odds could change drastically in favour of other teams.
