Khulna ease past Sylhet with comfortable six wicket win

Khulna Titans managed to open their account in the ongoing edition of the Bangladesh Premier League following a six-wicket victory over Sylhet Sixers in the eighth game of the tournament.
Chasing a target of 136 for a win, the Titans lost Nazmul Hossain (7) and Chadwick Walton (11) early with Taijul Islam (3-19) picking both the wickets.
By the end of the seventh over, Taijul picked Rilee Rossouw (19) as the visitors were reduced to 45 for three but Michael Klinger (47 not out) along with supports from Mahmudullah (27) and Carlos Brathwaite (23 not out) ensured they completed the chase in 18 overs with six wickets in hand.
Earlier, Sylhet Sixers despite losing Andre Fletcher (4) and Sabbir Rahman (0) early, knocks from Upul Tharanga (26), Danushka Gunathilaka (26), Nasir Hossain (47 not out) and Ross Whiteley (27) lifted the total to 135 for five.
Jofra Chioke Archer (2-25) and Mahmudullah (2-12) picked two wickets apiece for Khulna Titans.
Despite the defeat, Sylhet continue to top the table while Khulna are positioned sixth after winning and losing a game apiece.
