Kings XI Punjab appoint Venkatesh Prasad as bowling coach
Kings XI Punjab have confirmed former Indian pace bowler Venkatesh Prasad as the new bowling coach of the Indian Premier League franchise.
Prasad already has the experience of working with Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore previously and recently he resigned from his role of chairman of the junior selection committee in Board of Control for Cricket in India.
"Venkatesh Prasad, former right-arm medium-fast bowler and ex-chairman of the junior national selection committee (BCCI) comes on board as the team's bowling coach," Kings XI Punjab said in a statement.
Prasad, who has played 33 Tests and 161 ODIs for India will join Brad Hodge (head coach) and Virender Sehwag (director of Cricket Operations) at Kings XI Punjab.
Earlier, the franchise also announced their new recruit Ravichandran Ashwin as the captain for the upcoming season.
Kings XI Punjab will open their Indian Premier League 2018 campaign with a clash against Delhi Daredevils at Feroz Shah Kotla on 8th April.
