Kirby cricket club is in north essex where they play in the NECL Sunday league. The club goes back to the early 70s and have played in the NECL every year since 1978 , the club offers a social place for the local players .

We offer some of the finest cricket teas that you could get on a sunday , the club has seen players come and go but is now growing with every year.

We offer mens games for anyone 13 or above so we can get the teens into some friendly cricket. Offering a fine example in giving power to the younger age range, by giving 16 year old Max Oram the job of being captain from the 2014 season.

The club now plays in the div 4 of the NECL league and has had players travel from far and wide, most of the players come from the colchester area. With many clubs in the local area packing in, it is key that the small clubs can stay alive in the times we live in and being able to keep playing costs low.

The club has a number of indoor net fixtures where we invite everyone to get into the swing of things they are done at essex uni, and will be on the 22nd march 6pm-8pm & 5th april 4-6. We take the more enjoyable approach to playing on a sunday where we play to enjoy and no pressure in put onto anyone.

After a long day out on the wicket , what's better than a cold beer at the local pub? We welcome any new payers or if you are heading down for the weekend and want a game please give us a email - [email protected]
