Kolkata Knight Riders receive Umesh Yadav boost
Kolkata Knight Riders' campaign in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League has received a shot in the arm with Indian fast bowler Umesh Yadav joining the squad ahead of the encounter against Kings XI Punjab at Eden Park.
Yadav, who has been an integral part of India's successful home domestic season missed the first two games of the tournament to help him recover from a gruelling schedule.
The news was confirmed by both Kolkata Knight Riders and Yadav in their respective social media platforms Twitter.
"Look who has joined the team! @y_umesh is all geared up to make a thumping start in #IPL" read the tweet from the franchise.
"Ami KKR......First day with my team training time ??" posted Yadav.
Meanwhile, Australia batsman Chris Lynn, who suffered a shoulder injury during the game against Mumbai Indians has been kept under observation as revealed by the team's CEO Venky Mysore.
"All those anxious abt @lynny50. He aggravated an old injury. Being treated & under observation by @KKRiders team."
Having won and lost a game apiece, Kolkata Knight Riders are placed fifth in the table with two points and will take on table toppers Kings XI Punjab next on Thursday.
