Kraigg Brathwaite audio - Preview to 2nd Test vs New Zealand

HAMILTON, New Zealand – Windies captain Kraigg Brathwaite spoke to members of the media ahead of the start of the second Test match against New Zealand.

The opener, who turned 25 earlier this month, will be leading the Windies for the first time in a Test match. He replaces Jason Holder, who has been suspended for one Test.

The match will be played at Seddon Oval in Hamilton. First ball Friday is 11am (6pm Thursday Eastern Caribbean/5pm Thursday Jamaica Time).

"I am quite excited, I will do what’s required to help us win the Test match. Jason has been doing a fantastic job, so my job is to carry on what he’s doing," Brathwaite said.

“As an opening batsman, I like to lead from the front, that's something I back myself on. Building partnerships will be key. If we could get a couple of hundred-run partnerships that'll put us very good – in terms of batting.
