Lendl Simmons Ruled Out With Back Injury

West Indian batsman Lendl Simmons has been ruled out of the remainder of the One-Day International series in India with a back injury.

Simmons was not picked for either of the first two matches in the series and will now return home to Trinidad to continue his rehabilitation.

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) will name a replacement player for Simmons ahead of the final two ODIs.

The series is locked at 1-1 after a win apiece in the first two matches.

The third ODI in Visakhapatnam, scheduled to be played tomorrow, has been cancelled and the remaining two games will be played in Dharamshala and Kolkata on 17th and 20th October.
