Lewis, Delport brilliance help Dhaka Dynamites open account in BPL 2017
Dhaka Dynamites 202-7 (Lewis 66) beat
Khulna Titans 137 (Hider 3-13) by 65 runs
Fourth game, Bangladesh Premier League, Sylhet
Evin Lewis and Cameron Delport slammed a blistering fifties while Abu Hider Rony picked a three wicket haul as Dhaka Dynamites registered their first victory in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League against Khulna Titans in Sylhet.
Chasing a massive total of 203 runs, Chadwick Walton (30) got the innings off to a flying start with his 13 ball knock but the wickets of Nazmul Hossain Shanto (5) and Carlos Brathwaite (0) pegged back their momentum.
Rilee Rossouw (23) and Jofra Chioke Archer (36) were the only other batsmen to show some resilience as they were bowled out for 137 runs.
Hider (3-13) was the pick of the Dhaka bowlers while Shakib Al Hasan (2-25), Sunil Narine (2-32) and Khaled Ahmed (2-34) snared two wickets apiece.
Earlier a 12-ball cameo from Kumar Sangakkara (20) and fifties from Lewis (66) and Delport (64) remained the cornerstone for Dhaka Dynamites innings as they posted 202 for seven in their 20 overs.
This was also Dhaka's first win of the tournament after losing the opening game and they are positioned second in the table behind Sylhet Sixers.
